Foumban is a commune, capital of the Noun department in the Western Region of Cameroon. Considered by Cameroonians as the City of Arts, Foumban is the historical capital of the Bamoun Kingdom.

The Foumban Museum tells the story of one of the oldest kingdoms in sub-Saharan Africa through more than 10,000,000 art objects and historical pieces of Bamoun culture, some of which are more than six hundred years old. Around the museum, artisans make and sell a wide variety of art pieces ranging from imitations of historical objects to modern creations.
