Booking conditions

Our service consists of organizing excursions for visitors. In this catalog, we offer you a few examples of activities to experience and sites to discover in the West. We undertake to check regularly the state of presentation of the services, the conditions of access to the sites and of participation in recreational activities according to the requests, so as to give you useful information to better prepare your stays. To make it easier for you to understand what we do, our approach is set out below.

1. RESERVATION  

To help you make your reservations, we’ve included a few ideas in this catalog. You can also use them as inspiration to order a personalized program. As soon as we receive your request, we undertake to process it and get back to you as soon as possible. A reservation is firm when you confirm the final program and the corresponding quotation. You must therefore send us a validation e-mail or fill in the booking form at the ortoc reception desk.

2. RATES

Except in special cases, validated programs are accompanied by the corresponding quotation. The prices given in this catalog are for information only and may vary from period to period. Generally based on a group of 2 people, these rates include access to the sites, booking fees and the services of a guide. They do not include vehicle rental, tips, meals, accommodation, optional visits, souvenirs, personal expenses…

3. TRANSPORT

In the western region, the tracks are relatively passable. However, we recommend 4×4 vehicles adapted to rural roads, especially in the rainy season (April-November) when tracks are more unstable. If you don’t have your own vehicle, we can reserve one for you.

4. CHILDREN & GROUPS 

Our rates are established by default on the basis of adults. We do not accept unaccompanied minors, except on school excursions. Most Western tourist sites offer discounts for children and groups. These discounts depend on the age group, the size of the group and the site to be visited.

5. MODIFICATION

Tour programs are valid upon validation by the tourist or group representative. Any changes must be notified in writing. The partners are not obliged to provide a result (or systematic reimbursement) in the event of cancellation of the tour due to circumstances of force majeure, climatic or natural events; however, they may offer other services deemed equivalent.

6. CHEFFERIES & CULTURAL CEREMONIES

West Cameroon opens the doors to traditional chiefdoms. These chiefdoms include public spaces (free circulation), semi-public spaces (accompanied access) and private or sacred spaces (forbidden access). Please follow the instructions of the guide who accompanies you. Most traditional dance groups perform at specific events. Consequently, no dance group of a religious nature should perform at the request of tourists, as this could lead to the folklorization of cultural values.
