The West Cameroon region being located on high plateaus formed by ancient volcanic massifs at an average altitude of 1400m, it enjoys an equatorial climate, rather mild as it is cooled by altitude. Temperatures range from 20°C to 25°C, depending on the season, and can sometimes dip as low as 15°C. There are two seasons: a rainy season from April to October and a dry season from November to March. The dry season is the best time to visit West Cameroon, mainly because the roads inside the villages are not always paved. There are many tracks, and the use of a 4X4 is highly recommended.
