BAMBOUTOS MOUNTAINS

The Bamboutos Mountains are a mountain range reaching an altitude of 2700 metres. The mountains consist of a series of craters and stretch between Menoua, Bamboutos and Lebialem Divisions. From Dschang, one can get there through the tourist route through the market place of Bafou. The first stop at Méléta takes you to the top of the craters. The second stop at Ashuala brings you closer to the centre of the crater. The third and final part of the journey is the ascension of the Babadjou peak for the most athletic ones. Efforts are worthwhile, breathtaking views of the hilltops and that of agricultural landscapes.
