Le musée en
quelques mots
The main theme of the Bandjoun heritage hut is “Forge, art and power”. Its collection of almost 400 objects invites visitors to enter the world of Bandjoun and the forge. The museum shows that forging is an essential part of society, as well as a tool for development. In Bandjoun, the forge helped consolidate the dynasty and produce cult objects, tools and weapons. The heritage hut was inaugurated in 2003, and renovated by the Route des Chefferies in 2009. In 2022, the chieftaincy lent objects for the exhibition « On the Chieftaincy Route of Cameroon ».These objects were returned to their rightful place at the end of the exhibition.
